About this deal

What do you think of the Commander Cody and Captain Rex helmets? Will you be adding them to your collection? Players determine conditions, starting areas, and scenario before beginning play. The scenario determines how players accrue victory points or win, and whoever accrues the most victory points by the end of the game, or meets the specified win condition first, wins. Gear slot: Probably either blank portable scanners to make Take Cover into a “2” for efficiency, scopes probably would only get used once. Of course there could be new gear out with him or before this release? Command slot: Aggressive Tactics when he’s the only named Commander, lots of other choices when he isn’t.

Star Wars Legion: Clone Commander Cody – Wulf Gaming

The Shadow Collective employs all manner of soldiers to do Maul’s bidding, but perhaps most crucial to this undertaking is the support of the Mandalorian Super Commandos. LearnOne of the badasses of the Clone Wars, Commander Cody steps into the breach as the leader of the 7th Sky Corps. This set allows you to throw him into his games alongside his Jedi buddy, Obi-Wan Kenobi and make him the focal point of your strategies on the tabletop. He comes with three signature Command Cards that focus on what makes Cody a badass and you'll also note he comes with some friends too! Welcome Star Wars: Legion fans to the first in a very special series of Atomic Mass Transmissions that will be running over the course of the month as we bring 2022 to a close. Learn But what I and many other GAR players would really like is some more variety for the competitive scene. Right now it’s notable when a list that doesn’t feature Yoda or Anakin even makes the cut let alone win tournaments with substantial player counts (>20 or so). I had a lot of fun with Anakin for most of a year an did pretty well with him (made cut at Adepticon, Grand Finals in Invader League) but I’m honestly a bit tired of the type of painstaking play (and dependence on good terrain) that’s required to do well with a GAR Jedi list and I’d love to mess around with a clone-only gunline or (non-Anakin/Yoda based) vehicle list that allows me to compete with a level of choice that the other factions have. GAR just generally feels a bit constricted because of high costs and low options and Cody seems like a promising way to allow players to experiment a bit more while still staying on level with the rest of the field (for those of us who care about such things, and if you don’t that’s cool too!)

Clone Commander Cody Expansion: Star Wars Legion

Star Wars: Legion is played between two players, each bringing an army of miniatures assembled and painted before play began. Players have a good amount of flexibility in building their armies, but must build armies consisting of all one faction (Rebel or Empire), with one to two commanders (such as Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader), and three to six core units (generally troopers). Additionally, a player may bring up to three special-forces units, up to three support units, and up to two heavy units. Every unit, as well as the upgrades and abilities they may be granted, is worth a number of points. Traditional tournament play is set at 800 points, though the players may agree on another number outside of tournaments. Here’s a look at the instructions, which also feature an introduction and foreword by LEGO Star Wars Creative Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen. The galaxy is full of rogues and mercenaries willing to perform dangerous tasks for the highest bidder. There is no better example of this than the numerous Swoop Bike gangs of the Outer Rim. Learn

Here’s both helmets on display together. It’s a great thing that LEGO is finally throwing their weight and celebrating 20 years of Clone Wars, giving Prequel fans exactly what they want – more Prequel sets! Firstly, the good bits. LEGO have done a remarkable job adapting the Phase 2 helmet into the design, nailing the overall silhouette and shape of the helmet, which is no mean feat for a helmet with plenty of curves. A face up to vehicles, which can be key on one-pips (which is usually when you want to fire support, when they can’t act first to prepare for it by dodging or running). Obviously if the vehicle is starting the FS then he won’t be the one involved but this gives you some good options. Keepability [4] – As part of the Helmet Collection, these will look great alongside others in the series

Commander Cody Joins The Fight In Star Wars: Legion Soon

The build was also mostly enjoyable in parts, with some really detailed and technical sculpting used to re-create the helmet’s shape, angles and also markings.Note the cost is cut-off and dark here but it’s also “15.” It also gives Scout 1 which is neat but Guardian 1 is very interesting on a potentially very cheap unit. At 67 points a Boil-only Phase 1 would be the cheapest permanent guardian in the game, and while it’s one fewer guardian value and 3 fewer health than a naked IRG this unit would have more access to surges via Aggressive Tactics or Bolster (it would likely not be able to share other clone’s surge tokens when doing guardian rolls based on the way the rules are currently written) and it would be able to do something other than act as a sponge since it can take aims and dodges its friends can use. Things are looking up for the Galactic Republic! The helmet design gets a lot of things right, and I especially love the use of negative space for the eyes and face, followed by the layered plates for the harder angles to get that Clone look just right.

Star Wars Legion : Clone Commander Cody Expansion - Release Star Wars Legion : Clone Commander Cody Expansion - Release

Rather than a new core set as per the original Legion and then the Clone Wars version, this time they have gone just for individual unit expansion boxes, plus the group "Mercenary" set. The idea being that you can either add the various troops / leaders to your current forces as paid mercenaries, or you can put them together as an entirely new and separate "Shadow Collective" faction. This should add a lot more flexibility and variety to your Legion games! Commander Cody will not be coming to Legion alone. In the ‘Commander Cody’ box will come three miniatures. The two companions that come with Cody are Waxer and Boil. These two unique personal upgrades add more possibilities to your Clone Armies. Cody’s base cost is 105 points. This is a great deal for all he can bring and surely he’ll see a lot of play in the near future. Upgrade Slots Target 1: Another amazing ability that will give Cody an aim token at the start of probably every turn. This, along with observe tokens, makes going for an activation one shot and/or firesupport even better. The free aim also works well with Lethal 1, as you can use the aim to get pierce and the observe tokens for rerolls. Price Before we get to the pure conjecture I want to take an aside to say that this guy is really promising as a fire support platform for several reasons:You also get miniatures to represent Waxer and Boil from Ghost Company that can be upgraded using the personnel cards in the set. It's neat to see more of these fan-favourite characters hitting the tabletop and offering up fun options for army building in the Clone Wars period. Getting battling on the side of good before everything hit the fan! LEGO really nailed Commander Cody’s helmet design, and this one is my favourite of the two. For starters, I really like the white and orange colour scheme, as it translates incredibly well here. To be a leader in one of the major crime syndicates is no easy task. These feared commanders oversee groups of soldiers in support of their respective criminal operations and are responsible for the expansion of their faction’s holdings. Learn All these cards have a lot of text on them. We’re going to try and boil it down below. Also, these cards have some room for interpretation When Cody comes out there’ll likely be some forum posts clarifying some things. 1-Pip: Bring it Down! Esteemed Leader: if you want your Cody playing as an offensive piece, guardian would help keep him alive.
